David Beckham to Help Close the Beijing Olympics

David will star in the closing ceremony of Beijing Olympics, on 24 August and its confirmed by PEOPLE.

On the last day, the closing ceremony, they always have a segment to do the handover, to showcase the next city to host the Olympics. When the Games end at Beijing's National Stadium, the distinction of hosting the Summer Olympics transfers to London in 2012 – with the international soccer star there to help mark the transition.

Marc insists that Victoria 'has an amazing sense of humor about herself,' and admired her for 'agree(ing) to do something rough and tough and quite raw.'

Victoria Beckham beats Paris in stealing paparazzi

Paris Hilton was shocked recently when very few photographers waited for her at the Dorchester Hotel in London. Most of them went to see the launch of Victoria Beckham's denim range at Harrods.

Hilton, who is romantically involved with rocker boyfriend Benji Madden, was accompanying his band Good Charlotte on tour, reports thesun.co.uk.

Victoria said: "I'm getting a chance from really cool, credible people in a cool career. If you work really hard it happens."

Meanwhile, Victoria's hubby, football star David Beckham, was enjoying a day off watching the Los Angeles basketball team Lakers play.

Victoria lands role in Cruise film

Victoria Beckham is reportedly set to star in new movie 'Hardy Men' - after she was personally hired by the film's star Tom Cruise.

At her recent 34th birthday party, the singer was said to have been left speechless after Cruise surprised her with an invitation to design the costumes for the forthcoming picture. Beckham showed off her acting abilities last year when she appeared in hit TV series 'Ugly Betty' as a bridesmaid to Vanessa Williams' catty fashion boss character, Wilhelmina Slater.
According to British newspaper The Daily Express, the 'Top Gun' star has also asked Beckham to make a cameo appearance in the film, which is a spoof of children's book series 'The Hardy Boys'.
