MARIAH Carey's wish may finally be coming true. Spies in LA saw the songbird coming out of a well-known ob/gyn's office on North Crescent Boulevard, "clutching what looked like a sonogram and being greeted by her entourage with cheers.



It was the same type of paper that Minnie Driver was holding when she found out she was pregnant at the same doctor's office.

Mariah Carey spends $125,000 for her wedding party!

Mariah Carey is finally getting the wedding party she always dreamed about. Sources say Carey paid an astounding $125,000 to rent Stone Meadow Farm in East. Hampton for one week this month. At the 10-bedroom, 18,000 square-foot, 8-acre spread, the diva and her new hubby, Nick Cannon, will “chill out” - as opposed to whatever else they’ve been doing since they married.

But we hear she’s also finally getting around to celebrating her quickie April wedding to Cannon. The party will be hosted by Def Jam boss L.A. Reid, and all the guests who bought Carey presents through her Bergdorf Goodman registry can finally toast the couple.

If all goes well, Carey has the option to buy Stone Meadow, which is listed at just under $20 million and is the site of the Red Cross Ball on Aug. 23. Carey’s rep and Corcoran listing agent Gary DePersia had no comment.

Singer Mariah Carey has wed boyfriend Nick Cannon in a quickie Bahamas ceremony after just a one-month relationship, the New York Post reported. Though, Latina.com was first to report that the two got married, at Carey's home in the Bahamas. Carey was sporting a large piece of bling on her ring fingers, she and Cannon, held hands at the bash at Cadillac Lounge at Tenjune after the premiere of her movie Tennessee at New York's Tribeca Film Festival.
The ring, jeweler Jacob & Co. confirmed to People magazine, is crafted from platinum and features a square, emerald-cut fancy light pink diamond in the center, surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds, flanked by two half-moon diamonds. The total carat weight of the ring - the center stone alone is 10 carats - is 17 carats, with a value of $2.5 million.
Other Internet reports have speculated that Carey's ring is the same one Cannon gave to his former fiancee, Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks. But Ebanks's ring was 12 carats and made of colorless diamonds. This happened only last year that he gave a ring to Selita Ebanks as he proposed in grand fashion — on the Jumbotron in New York's Times Square. Cameras were flashing .He got down on bended knee and the words “Selita, will you marry me?” were projected on to a giant MTVboard and she said yes. But the couple soon split up few months later and Selita gave the ring back weeks later.
Hmmm... now thats what's fishy in here... I'm smelling dirt!

Still, there is evidence at least the engagement may be real. When asked at the party what he loved about Mariah, 27-year-old Cannon gave a one-word answer: "Everything!".

Mariah Knocked Elvis Out the Box

Mariah Carey has surpassed Elvis Presley’s record for the most #1 singles. Kudos Mariah. Maybe now they’ll stop worshipping that counterfeit “king”. Pop diva Mariah Carey is heading toward a new industry record for #1 singles on the Billboard charts.

The singer beat out music and second place holder Elvis Presley's record when "Touch My Body" hit the top spot this week. Carey now has had 18 #1 hits, according to Reuters. That's an average of a chart-topper every year since she began her recording career in 1990. With the upcoming retail release of her latest album E=MC², chances are good for Carey to overtake the top record holder, The Beatles, who have had 20 #1 songs.
"Touch My Body's" placement at #1 on the chart was bolstered by a record-setting digital debut week. The single sold 286,000 downloads, beating the debut of last summer's smash hit "Umbrella" by Rihanna, which sold 277,000 downloads in its debut week.

In other news, Mariah Carey has recently renewed an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), which is sure to pay of millions for the singer. [Source]
