"While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family."

Ashlee Simpson changes to "Ashlee Wentz"

Newly married Ashlee Simpson is changing her name to Ashlee Wentz in honor of her husband, Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz. "I think that's something that a woman should do when they're marrying a man," she tells PEOPLE. "It's a tradition that I think is a great tradition."

I think Ashlee should have phrased her reasoning behind changing her name as something she wanted to do, or thought she personally should do. Applying it to all women - and using the word “should” - makes it come off as very old-fashioned.

But Ashlee will use the name Ashlee Simpson-Wentz professionally

Britney hung out at a friends B'Day party

Britney Spears hung out last night at designer pal Christian Audigier’s 50th birthday party at L.A.’s Petersen Automotive Museum.

Before the party Audigier told People: “I am friends with Britney. She was at my office, I believe, three weeks ago. She got some presents for Jamie-Lynn and herself too. She got a ton of T-shirts, a ton of caps. She loved it.”

Brit Brit hung with two girlfriends in a roped-off VIP area at the birthday bash. Her dad Jamie Spears sat on a couch about five feet away with his head resting on his hands.

Britney stayed about an hour and a half, smoking cigarettes on an outside patio, nodding her head to a live performance from Macy Gray, and abstaining from alcohol.

The Fools Gold actress - who was recently broke up with Owen Wilson - had dinner with seven-time Tour de France winner Armstrong at Eddie V's in Austin on Friday.

A source close to the couple said: "Kate and Lance have been dating for a couple of weeks. She and Lance are both physical, passionate people - she’s never been happier."

The pair were spotted dining together in Austin on Friday night, and enjoyed a meal with Armstrong’s three children at a different in the town on Saturday.
Last week the duo were spotted together at the after-party for Kid Rock's Madison Square Garden gig.

Well it seems Kate moved on... Owen must be really dis-hearted by now....

Ashlee Simpson got married to Pete Wentz on Saturday complete with an "Alice in Wonderland" themed reception featured a wedding cake by Sam Godfrey of Perfect Endings with a top hat, tea pot, stop watch and a pot of flowers on top at her parents Los Angeles area home,their spokesperson tells PEOPLE.

Ashlee and Pete have been linked since the fall of 2006 and announced their engagement April 9 and now she is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
"We're delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends," said the spokesperson.

Guests included Jessica's boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, as well as actor Donald Faison with girlfriend CaCee Cobb

Ashlee Simpson, 23, wore an ivory lace wedding gown by Monique Lhuillier accessorized with a diamond necklace and earrings by Neil Lane.

Victoria Beckham beats Paris in stealing paparazzi

Paris Hilton was shocked recently when very few photographers waited for her at the Dorchester Hotel in London. Most of them went to see the launch of Victoria Beckham's denim range at Harrods.

Hilton, who is romantically involved with rocker boyfriend Benji Madden, was accompanying his band Good Charlotte on tour, reports thesun.co.uk.
